My Story
Hello, my name is Sonia Johnston, and I am a counselor and advocate who is deeply passionate about creating positive change in the lives of others.

My journey into the field of mental health was not simply a career decision, but a calling shaped by what I witnessed in the lives of people around me. I saw how many individuals struggled silently without support, encouragement, or a safe place to be heard. Those experiences stayed with me and planted a desire to become someone who could offer what so many were missing: understanding, compassion, and hope.

I knew I wanted to be a voice for those who felt unheard and a steady presence for those navigating difficult seasons of life. This desire led me into the mental health field, where I found my purpose in creating safe spaces for others to speak freely, feel valued, and begin their journey toward healing.

Throughout both my personal and professional experiences, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible transformation that can take place when someone feels truly seen and supported. Seeing individuals grow in confidence, recognize their strengths, and realize they have choices and the power to create change in their lives is the most rewarding part of my work.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am honored to walk alongside those who are seeking support, growth, and healing, and I look forward to being part of your journey.
