Welcome to the professional space of Christopher S. Clark, M.S., a compassionate mental health advocate and researcher.  

Christopher serves as the Lead Research Consultant for L.L. Smith Counseling Services, where he supports the organization’s commitment to evidence-informed practice through research synthesis and consultation on trauma, resilience, mental health, and community well-being. His work focuses on translating research into practical insights that can inform services, programs, and community engagement efforts. Christopher's work focuses on childhood adversity, resilience, school connectedness, and youth mental health. A former mental health therapist, behavioral consultant, researcher, and state injury prevention coordinator, he has spent his career supporting children, families, and schools through both direct service and research.

 

Christopher has a particular interest in understanding the experiences that often go unseen especially how adversity, resilience, and supportive relationships shape mental health and well-being across the lifespan. Guided by the belief that every story matters, he is committed to helping this organization use research to better understand the communities they serve and the factors that help individuals and families thrive.
